💡 What Stuck With Me

🧠 The chapters on connection and building knowledge hit home; especially the focus on “I Do, We Do, You Do.” It’s something I’ve been thinking and writing about lately through the lens of task design.

🪁 The play chapter is a standout. It doesn’t just say “play is important”. It backs it up with research and shows how play supports memory, cooperation, and schema building.

🎯 The section on desirable difficulty directly challenges the 100%-accuracy obsession you see in so many children’s books and tasks. That fear of mistakes is something I see crop up far too often in the primary phase and this book helps tackle it.
