About WAGOLL Teaching

Helping Primary School educators turn research into action—one bite-sized insight at a time.

Ben Cooper is an international primary headteacher and the founder of WAGOLL Teaching (What A Good One Looks Like), a platform dedicated to turning research-informed strategies into practical classroom routines. Passionate about cognitive science, child development, and effective teaching, Ben shares evidence-based approaches that teachers can apply immediately to enhance learning.

Through his blog, vlogs, and educational resources, he simplifies complex theories into actionable steps, helping teachers build engaging and effective classrooms. His work is deeply rooted in research but always focused on what works in real primary classrooms.

Ben has written articles for educational magazines, spoken at conferences, and worked in schools across the UK, Dubai, and Central America. With a commitment to bridging the gap between research and practice, he continues to create content that supports teachers in making learning stick.
